Title -  Union General Alexander S. Webb

 

Description -  Alexander Stewart Webb, a career United States Army officer and a Union general in the Civil War.  He won the Medal of Honor for gallantry at the Battle of Gettysburg where he defended the famous "Copse of Trees" area during Pickett's charge.  After the war, he was president of the City College of New York for thirty-three years.
